Carrie Nell Gibson Cabe

Franklin, NC - Carrie Nell Gibson Cabe, 79, of Franklin passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Minnie Angel Gibson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cabe who died August 27, 2012.

Mrs. Cabe was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved kitty cats and flowers and loved taking care of and cooking for family and friends. She was a member of Mashburn Branch Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirlene Spradlin and husband Melvin of Franklin; three grandchildren, Leeann Higdon and husband Brandon, Amanda McMahan and husband Robert and Jody Spradlin and wife Heather all of Franklin and six great grandchildren, Zachary McMahan, Austin McMahan, Blake McMahan, Brandon McMahan, KayLyn McMahan and Mia Higdon.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Doyle Gibson and a grandson, Kevin Spradlin.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Dendy and Rev. Gene Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert McMahan, Brandon Higdon, Austin McMahan, Blake McMahan, Jack Gibson, Billy Hurst and Brandon McMahan. Honorary pallbearer will be Carl Angel.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
