Catherine (Anderson) Moore

Catherine A. Moore, 84, of Franklin passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016.  She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Colonel and Bessie Thomas Anderson.  She was married to James Joe Moore who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Moore was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved flowers, gardening, fishing and she was an avid reader.  She attended Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Moore Rogers (Jerry) of Franklin; two sons, David Moore (Debra) of Hendersonville and Daniel Moore (Christy) of Hickory; six grandchildren, Jason Rogers, Jennifer Rogers Penland (Stan), Benjamin Tyler Moore (April), Hannah Moore, Caleb Joseph Moore, Mattie Moore and Mollie Moore and four great‑grandchildren, William Rogers, Harry Rogers, Ava Penland and Jeremiah Moore.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four sisters, Alice Hardison, Mary Chastain, Louise Haire and Eleanor Beaman and four brothers, Roy Dean Anderson, Joe Anderson, Robert Anderson and Jason Anderson.

A funeral service will be held Monday, April 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home with Minister Radford Penland and Rev. Rick Potts officiating.  Burial will follow in Carson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Rogers, Bill Moore, Tyler Moore, Caleb Moore, Colby Anderson and Wayne Haire. The family will receive friends from 11:30 ‑ 1:00 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.
