Sapphire, NC - Charles Allair Webb, 71, of Sapphire, NC passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his home. Chuck was born in Youngstown, Ohio, October 22, 1942, the son of the late Harry Charles and Wilda Adeline Allair Webb. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Northampton as an E-3 Fireman. Upon completing his military service he obtained his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University.

After moving to Atlanta, Chuck earned his law degree while pursuing a career in sales in the adhesive and window film industry. He spent most of his professional career developing accounts for Henkel Adhesives North America and Multi-Plastics, Inc., ultimately retiring as Regional Vice President. Chuck loved his cigars and for those that were lucky enough to have known him, rarely saw him without one. He was known to give sound advice whether asked for or not. His retirement years were spent between Cudjo Key, FL and Sapphire, NC.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Chuck was a practicing Christian and is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Diane Reid Edwards Webb, five sons; Jeffery Spencer Webb, and wife Rachel, of Auburn Ga.; Robert Jason Edwards, and wife Pam, of Newnan Ga.; Adam Kelly Edwards, and wife Amy of Flowery Branch, GA,; Michael Charles Allair Webb, of Fairplay, SC and Casey Lee Edwards, of Sapphire NC. He is also survived by his sister Harriet Webb Bailey, of Bowersville Ga. and six grandchildren. Chuck's best friend of 28 years Don Riga resides here due in part to his influence. His leadership and charisma will be sorely missed. Memorial donations may be made to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, P.O. A celebration of his life will take place at a future time (in The Conch Republic) determined by his family.
