Charles Melville Cash, Sr.

Charles Melville Cash Sr., born May 4, 1929 in Portland Maine.

Recently from Franklin NC, he passed on December 18th of medical complications.

Charlie had a distinguished 22 year Navy career and then continued on to make a life for his family.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, children, stepchildren and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his beloved cat Louis.

Charlie gave to his community in many ways; he was a volunteer Firefighter, Boy Scout leader, and a member of the Ossipee Valley Masonic Lodge, #74 for many years.  His most note worth quality was as a Handyman. Noted for his ability to “do it all” he was most happy when he was lending a hand to someone with a need, Family, friends or a stranger, it didn’t matter.

He will be missed.  A special thank you to Care Partners Hospice for helping to keep him comfortable.
