Charles "Charlie" Edward Mann

Mr. Charles "Charlie" Edward Mann, 82, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025.

Charlie was born in Macon County, NC April 16, 1943, to the late Horace Mann and Effie Mae Childers Mann. He was married to the late Patricia Hatfield Mann who preceded him in 1981. He worked and retired from Franklin Sheet Metal and Caterpillar. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.

Charlie loved to go fishing, work in his garden, and he never meet a stranger and was a friend to all.

Survivors include his companion, Barbara Hughes; a son, Gregory Mann; a sister, Sarah Raby; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Charlie was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Mann.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in the Grant Chapel. Mr. Mann will lie in state from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Union United Methodist Church Cemetery.
