Charles Holt Davis

Charles Holt Davis, age 102, of Otto, NC, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015.  He was born in Jackson County, NC, the son of the late David Robert Davis and Mary Duke Patton Davis.  He was preceded in death by his first wife of 57 years, Thelma Holt Davis and also by his second wife, Sarah Ethel Talley Davis.  He was a machinist and a member of Newman Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.  He was also a Mason.

He is survived by three daughters, Mary Margaret Owens, of Greenville,  SC,  Nancy Charlene Strickland and her husband Robert of Pell City, Alabama, and Jacqulene Reinheimer and her husband Richard of North Charleston, SC., fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great‑grandchildren and six great‑great‑grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Shumpert and a sister,  Lou Gunnin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home.   The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Newman Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
