Charles Robert Horn

Franklin, NC - Charles Robert Horn, 78 of Winslow, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Winslow. He was born in Franklin, NC and was the son of the late Leonard and Leota McCracken Horn. He retired from the US Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. Later he drove a truck for Cannon Express and he and his wife were in about every state in the US. He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cecilia Yankowy Horn; five sons, Steven Paul Horn and wife Dawn of Bethlehem, PA, James David Horn and wife Deborah of Cottondale, AL, Robert Alan Horn and wife Sondra of Elk Grove, CA, Daniel Joseph Horn of Winslow, AR and Adam Leonard Horn and wife Mandi of Springdale, AR; two sisters, Carolyn Maynard and Margaret Ledbetter of Franklin, NC; 17 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Edwin Horn.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, December 16, 2011 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, AR with visitation one hour prior to the service. Deacon Dan Daily will officiate. Burial will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery with full military rites. Memorials may be made to the Washington County Humane Society, Fayetteville, AR.
