Charles Thomas Mcdowell

Otto, NC - Charles Thomas McDowell, age 49, of Otto, NC passed away, Sunday, December 2, 2012. Born in Macon County, he was the son of Lucy "Merle" Bradley Adameit and the late Thomas M. McDowell, Jr. He was a trainer for the Hanes Textile Company for 21 years and loved golfing and reading. He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his mother, Charles is survived by two sisters, Linda Brown and husband Tim of Demorest, GA and Janice Tyler of Mountain City, GA; two brothers, Edward McDowell of Mountain City, GA and Tracy McDowell of Otto, NC; one niece and two nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one nephew.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Gabe Southard and Rev. Vic Greene officiating. Burial will be in Asbury United Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tracy McDowell, Eddie McDowell, Greg Allen, Jesse Harkins, Roy Quilliams, and Lance Kilby. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 8:00 pm at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
