Charles Edward Nelson

Franklin, NC - Charles Edward Nelson, age 72, of Bryson City, NC formerly of Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was born in Macon County, the son of the late Birl and Nellie Hartgrow Nelson. He was of the Baptist faith. Charles was a very special spirit who touched the lives of so many. He will forever be remembered fondly. He is survived by sisters, Martha Nelson and Euniv Jawgiel and a brother, Don Nelson; his Aunt Lola Mae Sutton and his beloved caregivers at his Arlington Home. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Garland Nelson.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 3 at 2:00 PM at Prentiss Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Escott officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 1:30 pm at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
