Charles Clifford Wilson, 64, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016.

Mr. Wilson was born January 13, 1952 in Burke County, NC to the late John Riley Wilson and Pauline Kimsey Wilson. He was married to Phyllis Golden Wilson who survives. Charles worked many years in the Furniture factory business and was a member of the Cartoogechaye Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Deborah Lanning (Ricky Sutton) of Franklin, NC; a son, Shannon Lanning of Cherokee, NC; three sisters, Vonnie Carpenter of Edenton, NC, Bernice Bates and Mary Lou Farmer both of Franklin, NC; three brothers, Landie Wilson of Greensboro, Maryland, James Wilson and Edward Wilson both of Franklin, NC; four grandchildren, Stephanie Sutton, Angela Sutton, Gracie Norris, and Joshua Lanning; and one great-grandson, Austin Harvey.

Charles preceded in death by two brothers, John Wilson, Jr. and Mack Wilson.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Bryant-Grant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Cochran, Rev. Robert Dryman, and Mr. Jeff Conner officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Cartoogechaye Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 438 Franklin, NC 28744.
