Christine Pressley Sanders

Christine Pressley Sanders, 88, of Franklin, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Mrs. Sanders was born April 10, 1937, in Macon County to the late Dollie Shuler and Walter D. Pressley.

Christine graduated from Franklin High School in 1955. In 1976, she and her husband opened the Franklin Top Shop, before retiring in 1999, after which she spent many winters on the canal in Florida, where she like to stay and garden. Christine adored her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She also loved to travel and was an active participant in many charities, often donating and volunteering to help those in need. She was particularly fond of the Doctors Without Borders program.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John Earl Sanders, in 2020.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by her children, Tony Sanders, David Sanders (Felisa), Mark Sanders; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her sister, Barbara Tallent.
