Cleamon Levon Moffitt

Cleamon Levon Moffitt, age 64, of Cashiers, NC, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015.  He was born in Jackson County, the son of the late Finley Josiah Moffitt and Vylena McCall Moffitt. He was a self‑employed contractor and a member of Cashiers Church of God.

He is survived by one daughter, Laura Dodson and her husband, Jeremy of Jacksonville, FL; three sons, Tinker Moffitt of Walhalla, SC, Shawn Moffitt and his wife, Vicki of Jacksonville, FL and Cliff Moffitt and his wife Tracey of Franklin, NC; a sister, Willean Stiwinter and her husband Jim of Cullowhee, NC, a brother, Marvin Moffitt and his wife Judy of Cullowhee, NC; four grandchildren, Cherub Dodson, Merada Carson Moffitt, Megan Moffitt and Zoe Dodson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step‑dad, James Sharpe, sisters, Irene Hughey, Mattie Moffitt and Azilea Fugate, brothers, Junior Moffitt and Eugene Moffitt.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 10th at 2:00 pm at Cashiers Church of God with Rev. Benji Collins, Rev. Delbert McCall and Rev. Shane Silvers officiating.  Burial will be in the Upper Zachary Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Tinker Moffitt, Shawn Moffitt, Cliff Moffitt, Jim Stiwinter, Jamie Stiwinter, Tracy Fugate and Jeremy Dodson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday evening at the church.
