Cleatus Sylvester Hedden

Franklin, NC - Cleatus Sylvester Hedden, age 91, of Crisp St., Franklin, NC passed away Friday, May 13, 2011 in a local care center. A native of Macon Co., he was the son of the late John and Ruie Woods Hedden. He was a carpenter and a Veteran of the United States Navy. He attended the Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Arvina Moss Hedden; his daughter, Marveta Shaw of Naples, FL; his two sons, Willard Hedden of Naples, FL and Verlie Hedden of Inverness, FL; two sisters, Allie Gibson and Ina Carpenter of Franklin, NC; one brother, Homer Hedden of Franklin, NC. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 16 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Wiley Gibson officiating. Burial will be held at Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 16 from 1:00-2:00pm, one hour prior to service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
