Cora Mae Mccall Macmurray

Franklin, NC - Cora Mae McCall MacMurray, age 77, of Franklin, NC, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014. She was the daughter of the late George and Floy Southards McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce MacMurray, who died in 1995, a daughter, Martha Sanders, two sons, Jeffrey MacMurray and Thomas Waldroop, and three brothers, Kenneth, Bill, and Dallas McCall. She had worked at Belden Electric Cord as a machine operator for over 20 years, she liked to listen to music and read, and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended Franklin Church of God.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Simonds of Bryson City, NC, two sons, Danny Waldroop and his wife, Sandy of Franklin, NC, and Mike Waldroop of Franklin, NC; four sisters, Dorothy Siler and husband Fred, of Greenville, SC, Mildred Giles and husband Bruce, Margaret Sanders and husband Skip and Karen Carnes all of Franklin, NC, three grandchildren, Amy Simonds, Christopher Waldroop and Allen Waldroop, four great grandchildren, Maddox, Maverick, Mace and Alexis, and son in law, Bruce Sanders.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home, with Rev David Williams officiating. Burial will be in Moore Welch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chuck Brooks, Allen Waldroop, Mike Hopkins, Christopher Waldroop, Craig Autrey, and Jimmy Hopkins. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday evening at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
