Croft Denny

William Croft Denny, 78, of Nantahala, NC passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016.  He was born in Macon County, the son of the late William H. and Eller Dills Denny.

Mr. Denny was a math teacher, receiving two degrees from Western Carolina University, a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree.  He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing and wildlife. He also had a love of fine cars. He was a member of Briartown Baptist Church.

He is survived by one sister, Susie Beasley (Gene) of Nantahala; one brother, Gerald Bobby Denny (Shirley) of Gainesville, GA; two nieces, Jodie Michelle McCord (Carl) of Sylva and Diana Bowling (Chris) of Pittsboro, NC; two nephews, Blake Denny of Alto, GA and Scott Denny (Monica) of Mobile, AL; one great‑nephew, Bauer Bowling, and two great‑nieces, Abigail Bowling and Lauren Bowling.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Briartown Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church pavilion.
