Daniel Clifford Massey, Jr

Franklin, NC - Daniel Clifford Massey, Jr. age 69, of Hurst Circle, Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 at an Asheville Hospital. He was born in Putnam Co., FL, the son of the late Daniel Clifford Massey, Sr. and Mary Helen Moody Massey. He was a painter.

He is survived by his wife of 14 1/2 years, Clara Waldroop Massey; one daughter, Deanette Shell and her husband, Tim of Palatka, FL; two sons, Daniel Clifford Massey III of Palatka, FL and Jerry K. Massey of Anna, TX; two step-daughters, Sherry Dillard Williamson and her husband, Dustin of Franklin, NC and Pamela Dillard Shepherd and her husband, Michael of Franklin,NC; two sisters, Donna Harris of Florida and Glenda Wyatt of Franklin, NC and one brother, Jerry Massey of Florida. Five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by a daughter, June Lynette Massey and a son, Randy Michael Massey; two brothers, Robert Massey and Steven Massey.

Memorial services will be held Friday, April 2 at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Vic Greene officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Daniel’s memory to the Charity of one’s choice.
