Mrs. Danita Holland Stoudemire, 62, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Danita was born February 9, 1962, in Macon County, NC to Mr. John Holland and Mrs. Ruth S. Holland who survive. Danita worked in the family business at RSR Carquest in Franklin. She was also a member of the Cartcoogechaye Church of God.
Danita loved the outdoors, camping, sitting in the creek, tubing the river, fishing, hiking, and picnics.
She loved the stars. She would talk about the beauty of the sky. She was also a professional photographer.
She always loved music it brought her so much joy. With the music she loved to dance. She had a passion for writing not only did it bring her joy but it also others around her. She also loved reading and painting and working in the flower bed. Danita was an avid historian and the author of three different books and a cookbook.
More than anything Danita enjoyed her time with her family. She wanted as much time as she could with her husband, kids, and grandkids who were her biggest joy!
In addition to her parents, Danita is survived by her husband, Rickey Stoudemire, daughter, Natasha Boatwright (Broc); son, Trance Stoudemire; five grandchildren, Landon Stoudemire, Baylie Boatwright, Axle Boatwright, Bentlie Boatwright, and Chevelle Boatwright; two sisters, Kathy Ray (Bob) and Rhonda Holland (Ron); sister-in-law, Betty Holland; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Michelle Stoudemire; and many nieces and nephews.
Danita was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Holland and a baby sister, Gail Holland.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Cartoogechaye Church of God with the Rev. Don Moffitt officiating. Burial will follow at the Stoudemire Family Cemetery in Franklin. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 4-6 pm at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
