Franklin, NC - Danny Frank Rogers, age 64, of Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Jackson County, NC, the son of the late James Lloyd and Lucy Ann Hyatt Rogers. He was a carpenter, a rock and block mason and was a member of Windy Gap Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a Senior Adult Sunday School Teacher for 37 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He liked to hunt, fish and liked going on mission trips.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wanda Tallent Rogers; his daughter, Amanda Cloer and her husband Joe and his son Kevin Rogers and his wife Julie all of Franklin; two sisters, Carolyn Young and her husband William and Ginger McConnell and her husband Jim of Franklin; two brothers, Bobby Rogers and his wife Gloria of Sylva and Larry Rogers of Franklin; two granddaughters, Kellie Grace and Nichole.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 21 at Windy Gap Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Greg Rogers officiating. Burial will be held at Windy Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The nephews and employees will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 20 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Windy Gap Baptist Church. Afterwards the body will remain at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home until placed in the Church thirty minutes prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Windy Gap Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1111 Windy Gap Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
