Franklin, NC - Darlene Ruth McCoy, age 44, of Franklin, NC, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011 at her residence. She was a native of Tolland County, Connecticut, the daughter of Norma Butler Hargrave of South Windsor, Connecticut and the late Gerald R. Hargrave. She had worked at Britthaven of Franklin as a nurses aide, and was a Veteran of the US Army National Guard.
She was a loving wife and mother and loved taking pictures, camping and hiking.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert W. McCoy; two daughters, Deanna Lynn McCoy of Boone, NC and Chantel Lynn McCoy of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Jerry Hargrave and James Hargrave both of South Windsor, Connecticut.
Memorial services were held at the residence.
