David Eric Engelking

Otto, NC - David Eric Engelking, age 46, of Otto, NC, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013. He was born in Palm Beach, Florida, the son of Edward Chuck Engelking and Diane Dolores Schuler Barkman and his step father Carl A. Barkman. He worked in construction as a painter. He was very artistic; he enjoyed painting, outdoors, flowers and vegetable gardening, fruit trees, canoeing, and four wheeling all with his children. He attended St. Francis Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents and step father, he is survived by three daughters, Jade Engelking and Tiffany Engelking both of Massachusetts and Erica Engelking of Franklin, NC; one son, Elliott Engelking of Franklin, NC; a brother, Darren Engelking of Otto, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Davis Hooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
