David Arrowood Lee

David Arrwood Lee, 81, of Franklin, died unexpectedly this week.  He was the son of Arrwood and Eva McCoy Lee, born March 5, 1935 in Franklin, NC.  He attended Franklin High School.  After serving a tour in the US Army he returned and  attended Western Carolina University.  He then went to work for Ford Motor Co. in Atlanta, GA, later moved to Durham, NC to work for IBM until he retired, returning to Franklin, where in 2002 he lost his eyes to diabetes requiring him to live a very limited life.

He is survived by two brothers, Boyd D. Lee and Darrell Lee of Franklin; three sisters, Bonnie Henson and Glenda Sanders of Franklin and Judy Cabe of Durham, NC.  He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Roy Lowe officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.
