Dr. David Marvin Wheeler

Highlands, NC - Dr. David Marvin Wheeler, age 53, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 as a result of an auto accident. He was born in Ashland, KY, the son of Harry M. and Shirley Hay Wheeler of Greenville, SC. He practiced medicine in the Highlands Cashiers area for 24 years. He was a graduate of Georgetown College and he received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Wheeler loved boating and watersports. He was a member of Highlands United Methodist Church where he was a former choir member.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mindy Walker Wheeler; his daughter, Sally Ann Wheeler of Highlands, NC and his son Samuel David Wheeler of Highlands, NC; his brother, John F. Wheeler of Greenville, SC.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 1, at 7:00PM at Highlands United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Christy officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 7:00PM at Highlands United Methodist Church.
