Dennis Keith Ashe

Franklin, NC- Dennis Keith Ashe, 62, of Franklin, NC passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014. Born in Macon County, he was the son of Logan Ashe and the late Ruth Ray Ashe. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed stock car racing. He was a member at Wells Grove Baptist Church. He was married to the late Ruth Mashburn Ashe who passed away on December 18, 2013.

Dennis is survived by his father, Logan Ashe of Franklin, NC; one sister, Linda Ashe of Franklin, NC; one aunt, Mary Ray Hedden; two sisters in law, Sandy Mitchell and Cheryl Brendell; two brothers in law, William and Alan Mashburn; several nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Dendy, Rev. Terry Dixon and Rev. Scott Matthews officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wiggins, Perry Taylor, Junior Hunnicut, Marvin Mashburn and Gene Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Ashe, Lewis Ashe, Wiley Hedden, Ted Kirkland, H. C. Bueck, Robert Schmidt and William Mashburn.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wells Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 1189 Wells Grove Rd., Franklin, NC 28734.
