Derrick Brandon Sigmon

Derrick Brandon Sigmon, age 23 ,of Sylva, NC passed away unexpectedly  Tuesday, June 16,  2015. He was born in Jackson Co., NC the son of Bo Aikin and Angela Franks of Sylva, NC. He loved to explore, liked to fish, read History and wanted to be a History teacher. He attended Southwestern Community College and worked in Construction. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Franklin, NC.

He is survived in addition to his parents, a son, Alekzander Sigmon; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Franks of Sylva, NC; one brother, Dakota Ledbetter of Sylva, NC; two sisters, Melissa Sigmon and Shanna Sigmon of Sylva, NC. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clinton Franks.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 22nd at 2:00 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Rodriquez and Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. Burial will be held in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 21st from 5:00‑7:00PM at Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home.
