Diane Jane Rosazza

Diane Jane Matthes Rosazza, 82, of Highlands, NC for 54 years passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Mrs. Rosazza was born November 20, 1942, in Shaker Heights, Ohio to the late Henry Brown Matthes, Jr. and Charlotte June Matthes. She was married to the late Grat Rosazza who preceded her in 2024.

Diane worked in the clothing retail business owning "Nicole of Highlands" and for the last 30 years worked for "Wits End'. She was an airline flight attendant in her early years before going into retail.

She loved football, golf, and playing tennis with the husband Grat. She loved Western North Carolina and referred to it as God's Country because of the beauty of the nature, birds, and flowers.

Diane was a faithful member of The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in Highlands, NC.

Survivors include a daughter, Christa Annesi of Highlands, NC; grandchildren, David Annesi and Devon Merritt; two great-grandchildren, Pearl Grace Annesi and Drew Owen Annesi; nephews, Fletcher Reid Matthes and Ian Neil Matthes; two great- nieces, Charlotte Matthes and Ella Matthes; and one-great-nephew, Harrison Matthes.

In addition to her husband and parents, Diane was preceded in death by a daughter, Nicole Maria Annesi, and brother, Henry Brown Matthes, Jr.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Incarnation in Highlands, NC. The family will greet friends following the service.
