Dollie Marvitlla Jennings

Dollie Moss Jennings, 89, of Franklin passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016.  She was born in Jackson County to the late Ferber and Dovie Coggins Moss.  She was married to John E. Jennings who preceded her in death in 1983.

Mrs. Jennings was a member of Pine Creek Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great‑grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, John Moss (Diane), and Vance Jennings (Shirley); two daughters, Jessie Holland (Mack) and Brenda Henry; three grandsons, Michael, Ricky and Tim Holland; one granddaughter, Ada Jane Shipley; four great‑grandsons; eight great‑granddaughters; a number of great‑great‑grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Jennings was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Heather and Ashley Jennings; son‑in‑law, Naamen Henry; sisters, Rachel Houston, Ada Greene, Gerstal Evitt and Candace Moss and brothers, Western, Herstal, Bud and Austin Moss.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Gary McCoy and Rev. Bud Haire officiating.  Burial will follow in Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Michael Holland, Ricky Holland, Travis Holland, Matthew Holland, Toby Holland, Chris Shipley and J. D. Gibson.  Tim Holland and Randy Rogers will serve as honorary pallbearers.  The family will receive friends Sunday, from 1 ‑ 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
