Donald Russell Reid

Frankllin, NC - Donald Russell Reid, age 75, of Wendover Drive, Franklin, NC passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Miami, FL the son of the late Russell Alexander Reid and Mable Ellen Shields Reid. He retired as a Battalian Chief and Executive Assistant to the fire chief, a journeyman electrician and a pyro- technician. He was a member of the International Brotherhood Electrical Workers, a member of the International Association of Firefighters, and the City of Miami Associtaion of Retired Firefighters.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra Logan Reid; five daughters, Debra Lorranie Reid of Eureka Springs, AR, Donna Gayle Reid Guarnieri of Spring Hill, TN, Dawn Jay Reid Jackson of Homestead, FL, DeEllen Sandra Reid of LaGrange, GA, and Dana Susanne Reid Weseman of Homestead, FL; one son, Donald Russell Reid, II of Franklin, NC; daughter-in-laws, Cynthia Reid, Cheryl "Shuggie" Tucker, and Kathy Fleegle; son-in-laws, John Jackson and Walter Weseman; two sisters, Roberta Ann Yakubec of Sebastian, FL and Karen Reid of Key West, FL. Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence "Larry" Reid.
