Donna Lynn McDowell McCall

Mrs. Donna Lynn McDowell McCall, 65, of Franklin, NC passed away Monday, September 14, 2026.

She was born December 7, 1960, to John W. McDowell and Willie Kate Burrell McDowell. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Mulberry Methodist Church.

Donna devoted 47 years to McDonald’s, where she served as a manager. She dearly loved her customers and the many people with whom she worked with throughout the years. Above all, Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who cherished her family.

She had a special love for hummingbirds and enjoyed attending car shows in Tennessee with her husband, Dale. She was also especially proud of her Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, a gift from him.

Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Algie “Dale” McCall; her sister, Gail Peterman; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Algie C. McCall and Mary Betty Peek McCall; and her sister-in-law, Beverly Ruth McCall.

She is survived by her daughter, Amber McCall (Brandon Hatch); two sisters, Lee Ann Muse and Deborah Vanhook; one brother, Michael McDowell; four grandchildren, Michael Hatch, Matthew Hatch, Kiah Hatch, and Jacob Hatch; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the memorial shelter beside the community building, located at 1288 Georgia Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
