Doris Elizabeth (Gibson) Webb

Doris Elizabeth Gibson Webb, 87, of Highlands, NC passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Fidelia Eckerd Living Center. She was born in Macon County to the late Elbert and Effie Henry Gibson. She was married to Richard Webb who preceded her in death in 2002.

Mrs. Webb had worked for Highlands Cashiers Hospital. She was a member of Highlands First Assembly of God and she was a loving mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother and great‑great‑grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, June Henry of Highlands; sons, Freddie Webb of Highlands, Randy Webb of Hollywood, MD and Johnny Webb of Franklin; a sister, Marjorie Webb of Highlands; 27 grandchildren; 36 great‑grandchildren and two great‑great‑grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sons, William Webb, David Webb and James Webb; a sister, Myrtle McCall and a brother, James Edward Gibson.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Highlands First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Randy Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Horse Cove Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 ‑ 1:00 pm, prior to the service at the church.
