Doris Marie Henry

Doris Marie Henry, age 86, of Franklin,  NC, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016.  She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late George E. and Mae Patterson Henry.  She was a homemaker.   She loved to garden and loved the outdoors.  She was a member of Dryman Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Kay Henry of Franklin, NC; two brothers, James "Bob" Henry (Tee) and Howard Henry (Evelyn) all of Franklin, NC; five nephews and two nieces.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Hal and Norman Henry.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Dryman Chapel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kelly Dotson and Rev. Vic Greene officiating.  Burial will be in Wright Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Henry, Randy Henry, Alan Henry, Chris Henry, Rodney Henry, Ronnie Vinson and Evan Henry.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 Sunday, one hour prior to the service at the Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wright Cemetery Fund, c/o Jane Morgan, PO Box 146, Otto, NC  28763.
