Doris E. Mcclurg Kouns

Franklin, NC - Doris E. McClurg Kouns, age 79, of Franklin, NC passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born in Moorehead, KY, the daughter of late Claude and Jessie Williams McClurg. She was a homemaker and member of Sugarfork Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John L. Kouns, III; two daughters, Diana K. Prine and her husband, Billy of Valdosta, GA and Rebecca Lyn McNeil of Franklin, NC; one son, Johnny C. Kouns of Live Oak, FL; two sisters, Ruth Ann Kouns of Asheville, NC and Linda Sue LaDuke of Winston Salem, NC; five grandchildren, Saun & Heather Prine, Rene McNeil, Brittany and Chris Kouns; four great-grandchildren, Katie, Allie, Dillan and Lexie.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
