Doris Green Rogers

Mrs. Doris Green Rogers, 89, of Franklin, NC, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026. She was born July 1, 1937 in Macon County to the late Arthur Lesher Green, Sr. and Annie Lou Pressley Green.

Doris was a member of Bible Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She loved going to Church, she loved the Lord and her family. She worked at Belden as a machine operator for thirty years.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Troy Joseph Rogers; daughter, Teresa Murray (Dana) of Franklin, NC; son, Michael M. Rogers (Kathy) of Franklin, NC; brother, Jerry Green (Patricia); sister, Sue Blaine (Ricky); two grandchildren, Morgan Murray and Evan Murray (Megan); two great-grandchildren, Lyla Murray and David Murray.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Teems and Frankie Ann Green; and two brothers, Robert Eugene Green and Arthur Lesher Green, Jr.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 1:00 pm in the Grant Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Blaine, Robert Sorrells, Calvin Conley, Randy Rogers and Rick Green.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 28105.
