Doris Ann Stiwinter

Cullowhee, NC - Doris Ann Stiwinter, age 68, of Cullowhee, NC passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Zennie Stephens Coward. She was a 1962 graduate of Cullowhee High School and a dietician at Highlands Cashiers Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of Yellow Mountain Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stiwinter is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Stiwinter; two sons, J. C. Stiwinter and Christopher Stiwinter and wife Lisa of Waxhaw, NC; a sister, Bernice Rochester of Cullowhee, NC and five grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Everette Wilson and Rev. Johnny Norris officiating. Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery. Pallbearers will be T. W. Stiwinter, Allen Coggins, Jamie Stiwinter, Jim Stiwinter, J. R. Stiwinter and Roger Stiwinter. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church.
