Dorothy Nichols Cloer

Franklin, NC -Dorothy Nichols Cloer, 85, of Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 in a local hospital. Born in Towns Co., GA, she was the daughter of the late David and Ethel Justice Nichols. She was a CNA for Angel Hospital for 30 years. She was of the Baptist faith. She was the best mother and grandmother; loved her birds and was an awesome cook.

Mrs. Cloer is survived by one daughter, Vicki Cloer Moses and husband Larry "Moose" of Franklin; one son, Larry Cloer and wife Loretta of Franklin; one sister, Imogene Whittington of Deale, MD; four grandchildren, Jeffery Michael Jones, Cody Nicholas Jones, Leigh Koch and husband Fred and Joseph Cloer and wife Amanda, and two step-grandchildren, Latisha Johnson and Richard Moses.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Geraldine Johnson and five brothers, Oren, Ralph, Quinton, Marvin and D. J. Nichols.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Franklin, NC 28734, to help with expenses.
