Dorothy Louise Talley Higdon

Mrs. Dorothy Louise Talley Higdon, 93, of Franklin, NC went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 4, 2026. She was born August 27, 1933 to the late Walter Talley and Mae Owens Talley in Macon County, NC.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She was a homemaker and loved being at home working in her vegetable garden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Mack McKinney in 1975 and David Grayson Higdon in 2007; two sisters, Hazel Reeves and Helen Conway; and two brothers, Harvey Talley and Raymond Talley.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Dryman of Scaly Mountain and Jane Nelson (Reed) of Highlands; sister, Mary Lou Anderson of Dallas, TX and brother, Homer Talley of Franklin.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at the Higdonville Cemetery.
