Dorothy Jean Holland

Franklin, NC - Dorothy Jean Holland, age 72, of Franklin, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in a Sylva hospital. She was a native of Graham County, NC, the daughter of Fred and Rosa Prince DeHart. She was married to the late Alfred McKinley Holland, Jr., who passed away August 5, 1995. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Jean Holland of Franklin, NC, one son, Jerry Lee Holland and his wife Chere' of Asheville, NC; three sisters, Joyce Ray and Gladys McLean both of Fairview, NC and Beulah Conn of Washington; two brothers, Ray DeHart and Donald DeHart both of Dahlonega, GA; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Holland.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Vic Greene officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Taylor Holland, Jason Angel, Steve Angel and Kevin McMahan will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 23 from 1:00-2:00pm, one hour prior to service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
