Dorothy Gene Brigham Klaue went home to be with Lord on Friday, October 30th, 2015.  She was born July 30th, 1910 In Kansas City, Missouri to the late Arthur Edward Brigham and Harriet Shipley Brigham.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Sherman Klaue, their infant daughter, Linda, and her sister, Harriet.  She is survived by three children, Lura Lee Klaue Bublitz, Robert Brigham Klaue, and Nancy Anne Klaue Thomas; grandchildren, Nancy Smith, Steve Bublitz, Alexia Neves, Joni Brightbill, and John Thomas; great‑grandchildren, Nicholas Bublitz, Zachary Neves, Brenna Neves, Danielle Wallace, Taylor Wallace, Taylor Brightbill, Montana Brightbill, Ethan Thomas, Annalisa Thomas, Alisha Thomas and Carissa Thomas; great‑great‑grandchild, Callum Wheeler; nephew Jon Christenson and his family.

Dorothy was initiated into the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity in April, 1929, and graduated from the University of Oregon in 1932.  She lived in Eugene, Seattle, San Francisco and Franklin.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed jazz and classical music, knitting and crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading a wide variety of books, current events, gardening, golfing, walking and traveling around the United States and Hawaii to enjoy the wonders of God’s creation with family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Memorial UMC in Franklin, NC on Friday, November 13th at 11 AM.  Rev. Susan German will officiate.  Memorial donations can be made to Memorial UMC or your favorite ministry or charity.
