Douglas Logan Sanders

Franklin, NC - Douglas Logan Sanders, age 66, of Middle Skeenah Rd., Franklin, NC passed away Monday, August 9, 2010 in a local hospital. He was a native of Macon County, the son of the late Dillard and Ellis Clark Sanders. He was owner of Doug’s Camper Sales and Doug’s U Serve and Save in Franklin, NC. Doug enjoyed a full life, he loved travel, guns and car shows with his friends. His passion for antique cars was his love.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Glenda Lee Sanders; two sons, Marty Sanders and wife Barbara of Thomasville, GA and Todd Sanders of Franklin, NC; two sisters, Barbara Carpenter and husband Ken of Macon, GA and Kathryn Drinnon and husband Ray of Williston, SC; one brother, Dearl Sanders and wife Joyce of Franklin, NC; five grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken Jones, Rev. Wayne Sheffield, Rev. Pete Lee and Rev. Nick Smith officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Freddie McConnell, Todd McConnell, Jim Shook, Colbert Henson, Skip Sanders, J. W. Stevens, Mitch Thompson and Benny Hampton.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday evening at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
