Doyle George Peek

Lula, GA - Doyle George Peek, 81, of Lula, GA passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at his home. He was born in Macon County and was the son of the late George and Honor Grace Cabe Peek. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended Free Chapel Church in Gainesville, GA.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha Jewell Peek; sons, Dale Peek and wife Terri of Canton, OH and Steve Peek of Seneca, SC; sisters, Ruth McClure of Otto, NC and Mary Ann Greenway of Hartwell, GA; brothers, Leroy Peek of Lenoir, NC and Issac Peek of Canton, OH, and two grandchildren, Christina and Jesse Peek. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Peek Layell and Frances Mashburn.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Townson Rose Funeral Home in Hayesville with Fred Greenway and Rev. Alex Stevens officiating. Interment will be in the Union Hill Cemetery in Hayesville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 2:00 pm, two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Affinis Hospice at 2565 Thompson Bridge, Suite 110, Gainesville, GA 30501.
