Duncan De Puech Parham

Duncan de Puech Parham, age 78, of Highlands, NC died Friday, July 29, 2016 at a Highlands-Cashiers Hospital. He was born in New York City, NY, the son of the late Dr. Duncan Parham and Althea Penn Puech Parham. He attended St. Paul's School in New Hampshire and graduated from Isadore Newman school in New Orleans; Duncan attended the University of Virginia and graduated from Tulane University. He was a US Army Veteran. He worked 44 years at Morgan Stanley Banking in Investment in New Orleans. Later he and his wife moved to Highlands, NC after Hurricane Katrina. He was a member of Performing Arts Chamber of Music, Highlands Historical Society, Nature Center, Christmas Community Choral and Franklin Gem and Mineral Society.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Harriet  "Button" McCall Davis Parham; a son, Duncan Parham II and his wife Coco of Asheville, NC; two grandchildren, Ellsworth Davis Parham and Emma Friend Parham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will  be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highlands Memorial Park.
