Earl Crisp

Mr. Earl Crisp, 91, of Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024. Mr. Crisp was born in Macon, Co., NC April 19, 1933, to the late John Parker Crisp and Minnie Mae Henry Crisp.

Mr. Crisp was a master carpenter and builder of custom homes. He loved all types of outdoor activities such as coon hunting, fishing, and gardening.

He was of the Baptist faith. He loved and cared for his family, but he really loved raising chickens and spending time with his granddaughter, Jessica.

Survivors include his son, Stephen Crisp (Misty) of Franklin, NC; and a granddaughter, Jessica Crisp of Franklin, NC.

In addition to his parents Mr. Crisp was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Helen Miller Crisp on September 2, 2024; and eleven siblings, May Belle Thomas, Wayne Crisp, Harvey Dale Crisp, Lewie Crisp, Carl Crisp, Mary Louise Crisp, Truman Truey Crisp, Claude John Crisp, Charles Ernest Crisp, Little (Willie) Baby Crisp, and Margaret Pauline Crisp.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Salmason and Rev. Randy Drinnon officiating. Burial will follow in the Crisp-Dills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Matthew Keyworth, Robert Crisp, Richmond Crisp, Paul Crisp, Brian Stamey, and Michael McClure; Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews and the Macon County Coon Hunters Association.
