Edith L. Wilson

Franklin, NC - Edith L. Wilson, age 92, of Windy Gap Road, Franklin, NC went to be with the Lord at her home, Sunday, October 19, 2008. She was born in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Oscar and Allie Hopkins Lewis. She was married to the late Thad W. Wilson who passed away January 1, 1987. She was a homemaker and was a member of Windy Gap Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member. She enjoyed embroidery, sewing and working in her garden.

She was survived by her daughter, Dixie Mason of Franklin, NC and her son, Steven James Wilson and his wife, Janis of Franklin, NC; one sister, Helen Tallent of Franklin, NC; six grandchildren, Dennis R. Mason, Tim C. Mason, Tammy W. Dills, Kim W. Norton and Mark S. Wilson. Eleven great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her son Earl Wilson; her son-in-law, Ray Mason; three sisters, Betty Burrell, Ora Lee Derrberry and Velma Lewis; two brothers, Monroe Lewis and Roy Lewis; one grandson, Randy Mason.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 22 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. John Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Grandsons, Dennis Mason, Tim Mason, Mark Wilson, Christopher Dills, Tony Norton and Willard Dills will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 21 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
