Edna Nix Hunt

Franklin, NC - Edna Nix Hunt, 87, of Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013. Born in Rabun County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Icie McCall Carver. She was employed by a textile factory; loved her flowers and garden and loved to clean house.She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, which was a big part of her life, where she served as Sunday School teacher.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by her husband of 24 years, Thomas R. Hunt, one daughter, Geneva Vaughn and husband Glandon of Franklin; one son, Morris Nix and wife Shannon of Clayton, daughter in law, Clara Nix of Clayton; two step sons, Bobby Hunt and wife Sharon of Franklin and Tommy Hunt and wife Karen of Raleigh; one brother, Herschel Carver of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Kevin Nix, Shannon Nix Carter, Denver Vaughn, Misty Vaughn Holland, Noel Valez, Brenden Conrad and Nolan Conrad and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Webb and a brother, Lester Carver.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Denver and Parker Vaughn, Kevin Nix, Travis and Austin Carter and Daryl Holland.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
