Effie S. Mccrackine

Franklin, NC & Reynoldsburg, OH - Effie S. McCrackine, age 97, of Franklin, NC and Reynoldsburg, OH passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at an Ohio Hospital. She was born in Alvarado, VA the daughter of the late Walker and Susan Wright Sweet. She was married to the late Clyde W. McCrackine for 58 years before he passed in 1999. She had worked at Glen L. Martin air craft in Baltimore, MD and the Big Jack in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was also a seamtress and owned Cherokee Ruby Mines in Franklin.

She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Coulter and her husband Lary of Reynoldsburg, OH and her son, Clyde J. McCrackine and his wife Pam of Pembroke Pines, Florida. Three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, at 11:00 AM at Iotla Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Reeves officaiting. Burial will be held at Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 25 from 6:00 8:00PM at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Charity of one's choice.
