Franklin, NC - Eileen Winifred Moriarty, 89, of Franklin went home to be with our Lord, Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Born in Devonshire, England, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh M. Moriarty and three brothers, Herbert, William and Gordon, and three sisters, Amy, Phyllis and Muriel.

Eileen was a GI war bride and sailed to the United States in 1945. She resided in Tampa, Florida and was a member of Seminole Heights UMC. She moved to Franklin, NC in 2000 and was a member of Snow Hill UMC. Eileen is survived by her three daughters, Faye Moore, Gayle Webb and Judy Chapman and husband Michael Chapman; five grandchildren, Kris Gaskins and wife Nicole, Troy Yoshihara and wife Joy, Antony Moore and wife Heather, Michael Chapman and wife Callie, Christina Griffith and husband Stephen; twelve great grandchildren, Chase, Krystian, Olivia and Evan Gaskins; Marin Yoshihara; Aaron, Ashlyn and Austin Moore; Michael, Maverick and Magnus Chapman and Caden Griffith. Also surviving are nephews and nieces, including Rik, Greg and Geoff Moore of Florida; Barbara Britton and husband Stewart of England and Roger Ede and wife Linda of Scotland, and cousins including Elsa Andrews and husband Bert of Wales, Heather While and husband Terrance and Rachael Richards and husband Basil and Alf Bolt of England,

Our Momma, our Me ma, you were our pillar of faith and oh how we will miss you. Dear Jesus, hold us close 'til we're together again.

A memorial will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Snow Hill UMC in Franklin with Rev. Steve Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Macon County Care Net "Back Pack Program", 130 Bidwell Street, Franklin, NC 28734 to assist school children in need with additional food supplies or Snow Hill UMC Roof Fund, 330 Snow Hill Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
