Elbie Jean Holland

Franklin, NC; Clayton, GA - Elbie Jean Holland, age 63, of Clayton, GA passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Habersham Medical Center. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Gertrude Hodgins Bates. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter Sherry Wales of Clayton, GA; one son Darrin Holland of Franklin, NC; two sisters Leoma Crisp of Franklin, NC and Gail Bates of Clayton, GA; three brothers Billy Joe Bates of Balmont, NC; Buck Bates of GA and Willie Bates of Franklin, NC, a half brother, Beachfard Hodgins. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Amber Browning and Brandon Wales.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Bates and Rev. Don Moffitt officiating. Burial will be in Hodgins Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
