Eliane Ernestine (Vanderplancke) Baertsoen

Eliane Vanderplancke Baertsoen, 91, passed away at her residence on Friday, September 18, 2015. Mrs. Baertsoen was born June 6, 1924 in Rekkem Belgium to the late Jules and Julienne Lesage Vanderplancke. She was the wife of the late Daniel Baertsoen who preceded her in death. In Belgium she worked in the laundry business until she came to the United States where she was a caregiver. Elaine was a devout member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Detroit, MI. She was a loving wife and mother. She was known to many as a loving, kind, and gentle person. Her favorite thing to do was to watch TV and see all her "stories".

Survivors include her son, Marc Baertsoen (Jeff) of Sapphire, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Jacques Baertsoen, and a brother, Noel Vanderplancke.

A memorial service is planned for a later date.
