Elizabeth Steele Mountford

Elizabeth Steele Mountford, age 90, of Hayesville, NC, passed away at the Clay County Care Center, Thursday, May 12, 2016.  She was born in Fulton Co., NY, the daughter of the late William and Ruth Murphy Dressel.  She was married to the late John Mountford.  Mrs. Mountford had worked as a medical assistant in a doctor's office.  She was a kind and loving mother and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Brancato and her husband Sal of Vahalla, NY, a son, Joe Bowler and his wife Kerry of Hayesville, NC; five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Reppenhagen.
