Elmer Earl Brodie, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Brodie was born November 18, 1926 in Niles, Ohio to the late John Robert Brodie and Matilda Mae Swartz Brodie. Mr. Brodie owned and operated a restaurant; he graduated Master Chef in New York; was the Vice President of Stuart’s Food Service; and after retirement he worked for Disney World for 11 years. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII in the underwater demolition.
Mr. and Mrs. Brodie when not in Florida have a home in Franklin, NC. They are members of First United Methodist Church in Franklin and while in Florida they attend at non-denominational service in Davenport.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Brodie of the home; two daughters, Kathleen Brodie of Haines City, Fl. and Stephanie Webb (Bobby) of Clermont, Fl; four grandchildren, Tim Brodie, Matthew Shamey, Robert Webb, and Ashley Webb; and one great-granddaughter, Rylie Marie Foster.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Polo Park Clubhouse in Davenport, Fl.
