To my dearest Erin,

I promised you a log cabin in North Carolina and we realized our dream.  Unfortunately, that dream was short‑lived. Now it is your turn to prepare for me one in the beautiful place you are now.

You are and always will be the love of my life.  My heart is shattered but I will continue on with your memories to help each day pass.  Watch over me as I will need some help along the way to put things back together.  You are a wonderful and beautiful spirit that never harbored ill‑will towards anyone or any of God's creatures.  We shared sixteen wonderful years of love, joy and happiness.  The world is a little sideways at the moment. Help me to shove it back to some semblance of normal.

In loving memory of the first girl I ever kissed.  Your forever loving husband, friend and protector for eternity.  I love you, need you and want you.
